Web3 back-office solutions provider BlockOffice acquired Lydian Labs, a full-stack web3 solutions provider and the organizer of Malaysia Blockchain Week (MYBW), and rebranded it as ACTIV8.

Lydian Labs Acquisition

According to the media release, BlockOffice offers fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO), company formation, accounting, taxes, fundraising, and other back-office services for web3 and technology companies.

In addition, since the acquisition, the firm noted that ACTIV8 has reported a threefold increase in year-on-year sales within three months, shortly after MYBW 2025.

The deal adds to BlockOffice’s growing ecosystem, which includes Pixel8Labs, a technology studio specializing in crypto exchanges, gaming platforms, payments, launchpads, NFTs, and DeFi applications, as per the press release.

Moreover, it noted that the BlockOffice is backed by founders, investors, and executives from companies including Accel, Deel, Nium, Wise, Coinbase, and Temasek.

“At BlockOffice, we focus on providing fractional CFO & finance backoffice solutions for our clients. We produce P&L and growth metrics and often see that they are lacking options in efficient growth & marketing strategies with positive ROI. It is extremely rare to find principled marketing experts like Noelle and Ian from ACTIV8 (previously Lydian Labs) who work closely with clients to drive objective-focused growth and goals.”

Jay Lim, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, BlockOffice Group

Lim added that the acquisition allows the company to extend its services beyond finance and back-office support.

The release also emphasized that with the addition of ACTIV8, BlockOffice now brings together five core areas of expertise: finance through its fractional CFO and company formation services; marketing through ACTIV8; technology via Pixel8Labs; web3 advisory through Whitepaper Auditor; and investments through BlockOffice Ventures.

Rebranding to ACTIV8

Under the new structure, ACTIV8 will be led by Lydian Labs co-founders Noelle Lee and Dr. Ian Tan, with most of the original team staying on. The agency will now work closely with BlockOffice’s leadership and international teams across Asia, the United States, and Europe as part of the group’s Web3 and blockchain operations.

“By providing our clients web3 marketing expertise via ACTIV8 with hundreds of case studies, our services now go beyond finance and backoffice by imbuing their campaigns with better results and amplified growth.”

The rebranded agency will also still continue to spearhead global web3 marketing services as BlockOffice’s fractional chief marketing officer arm and remain the official organizer of MYBW, which debuted in 2024 under Lydian Labs.

“ACTIV8 is proud to inform and reassure all its stakeholders that this acquisition will strengthen our ability to deliver better results. With more resources, we will help our clients achieve better growth and success compared to our time at Lydian Labs.”

MYBW 2025

The media release also pointed out that MYBW 2025, held in July, attracted more than 6,000 local and international participants, making it one of the region’s largest web3 events. The conference was attended by the country’s Minister of Digital Gobind Singh Deo and Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation Chang Lih Kang.

The firms involved stressed that the 2025 edition recorded double the attendance, speakers, and overall turnout compared to its 2024 debut.

With the support of BlockOffice’s global network, organizers said preparations for MYBW 2026 are already underway and are expected to deliver a larger and more impactful program, according to the team.

“Malaysia Blockchain Week is the pride and joy of Malaysia and the team behind it. As ACTIV8, we will continue to provide a launchpad for all things web3 for Malaysians and the world. The current MYBW working team will continue to grow the IP to be stronger and bigger, aligned with its goals to make Malaysia a regional blockchain hub.”
