Another Amazon Prime Day is here. Prime Big Deal Days (aka “October Prime Day”) runs Oct. 6 and 7, and deals are live, delivering major sales across all categories.

October Prime Day deals are a chance to get some relief from the RAMageddon price hikes impacting the tech industry this year. For its part, Amazon increased the prices of nearly two dozen Kindles, Fire TV Sticks, Echo smart speakers, and eero routers this summer because of rising component costs. Seasonal sales like Prime Big Deal Days (and later Black Friday) are offsetting some of those markups.

We’ve sifted through hundreds of October Prime Day deals to find the best ones for you. With the sale ramping up, prices are dropping. Kindles are now on sale, and the AirPods Pro 3 are $70 off. How we choose deals

Mashable shopping reporters and editors regularly review the latest products from brands like Apple, Bose, Kindle, Ninja, Sony, and Samsung. We’ve also been covering major shopping events like Prime Big Deal Days for almost a decade.

Before recommending a deal, we use price-tracking tools to make sure the product is at a compelling price, and we prioritize products with record-low discounts. We also check prices at other retailers (big-box stores like Target and Walmart are also hosting sales this week), so we can point you to the lowest price at any given moment, even if it’s not at Amazon.

For October Prime Day, we spotted the first deal on the second-generation Bose QuietComfort headphones. Mashable’s audio expert Bethany Allard says that the Bose QuietComfort (2nd gen) are the best combination of comfort, noise cancellation, sound quality, and value in headphones right now. Currently, they’re $319, down from $359 — a $40 saving that makes them an even better value.

However, we also have to call out a fantastic deal on the first-gen Bose QuietComfort headphones, which are currently 53% off for Prime Big Deal Days ($10 away from their record-low price from Black Friday 2025). As much as we love the new 2nd Gen model, that price is hard to beat.

Why we like it

The basic AirPods just got an upgrade with the new AirPods 5, and last year’s Apple AirPods Pro 3 are back on sale. They were $234 in the lead-up to October Prime Day, but have since dropped to $179 — $70 off their $249 list price. The earbuds have ANC, a more comfortable, redesigned fit, and support for live translation with a compatible iPhone. They’re a good pick for commuters and even measure your heart rate during workouts, which is great for athletes who love a good workout playlist.
