In his keynote, Marcus outlined Viction’s evolution from its TomoChain origins to a global Layer-1 platform.

“Our best experiences come from building seamlessly on a strong foundation with a battle-tested, widely distributed, and globally available Layer-1. We rebuilt it with purpose, and from that vision came Viction: a name born from the fusion of ‘Victory’ and ‘Vision’, with ‘viction’ embedded in ‘conviction’. Subtly, it starts with a ‘V’ and ends with an ‘N’ which is a nod to its Vietnamese roots and the builders who shaped it. We build with conviction, ignoring the noise and committing to the path.”

Highlights from Viction’s presentation included:

  • Viction City, a digital community with over 4 million users.
  • Zero gas fee transactions for sending, swapping, claiming airdrops, merchant payments, and cross-border stablecoin transfers.
  • Rankings of 11th among L1 blockchains by daily active users (Token Terminal) and 14th among EVM chains by weekly active users (Nansen) in April, with total value locked rising fourfold to about $12 million.
  • Ecosystem products such as Dagora’s Google-based NFT minting, ONEID self-sovereign identity, large-scale cultural NFT projects, and stablecoin-powered global payments.

Viction said its participation at ConViction 2025 stressed its focus on accessible, frictionless web3 experiences for both users and developers.

What is Viction?

Viction is an L1 blockchain platform designed to provide a secure, scalable, and user-friendly environment for decentralized applications.

As per its website, it focuses on low transaction fees, fast confirmation times, and a developer-friendly ecosystem, aiming to drive mass adoption of web3 technologies. The platform also emphasizes interoperability and accessibility, making it a key player in supporting blockchain innovation in Southeast Asia and beyond.

In 2023, Coin98-backed blockchain platform TomoChain rebranded to Viction, introducing its “Victory Vision” aimed at making web3 safer and more accessible. The rebrand includes a refreshed visual identity, a planned ticker change, and the renaming of its native token from TOMO to VIC without altering its smart contract or tokenomics.

According to the website, the event featured more than 150 speakers and over 100 web3 projects and companies, covering topics such as blockchain’s future, blockchain–AI integration, real-world applications, Vietnam’s role in the global tech landscape, and regulatory developments.

Presentations took place across multiple stages, including the “Vision Stage” and “Innovation Stage,” alongside an exhibition area showcasing interactive booths from partners such as Viction, Dagora, and IVY. The festival floor had activities ranging from live demonstrations to NFT minting and product showcases.
