On-chain investigator ZachXBT has issued a new alert regarding a mysterious series of wallet drains affecting hundreds of users across multiple Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains.
According to the shared data, hundreds of wallets are currently being drained of relatively small amounts (less than $2,000 per victim), with the total theft presently estimated at $107,000 and rising.
Crucially, the root cause of these unauthorized transfers remains unidentified.
The Data: What Chains Are Affected?

The attacker appears to be sweeping funds across a wide variety of networks. According to a dashboard screenshot shared by ZachXBT, the breakdown of the stolen funds includes:
- Ethereum: ~$54,655 (51%)
- BNB Chain: ~$25,545 (24%)
- Base: ~$8,688 (8%)
- Arbitrum: ~$6,273 (6%)
- Polygon: ~$3,498 (3%)
Smaller amounts have also been swept from Optimism (OP), Ink, Zora, Linea, and Manta Pacific. The systematic draining of low-value assets across diverse chains suggests an automated script targeting compromised private keys or approved spender allowances, though no specific dApp or wallet provider has been linked to the exploit yet.
The Suspect Address
ZachXBT identified the following address as the primary destination for the stolen funds:
0xAc2e5153170278e24667a580baEa056ad8Bf9bFB
Users can check their activity on explorers (like Etherscan or BscScan) to see if they have interacted with this address. If you notice any unauthorized transactions, it is recommended to revoke approvals immediately using tools like Revoke.cash and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet.
Who is ZachXBT?
ZachXBT is a pseudonymous on-chain researcher widely respected in the cryptocurrency industry for exposing scams, hacks, and rug pulls.
Most recently, he was instrumental in bringing to light the Trust Wallet Browser Extension hack. Just days ago, ZachXBT was among the first to report that hundreds of users were losing funds due to a malicious update (version 2.68) of the Trust Wallet extension.
His early alerts helped confirm that the attack was not a simple phishing campaign but a sophisticated supply-chain compromise that resulted in $7 million in losses. Trust Wallet subsequently confirmed the breach and is currently processing refunds for verified victims.
