Previous Pilot Cup
The Crypto Esports League PH held its inaugural Pilot Cup on November 8 at House of Prime in Bacoor, Cavite, introducing a cryptocurrency trading competition presented in an esports format. Fifteen participants competed across three live trading rounds spanning about four hours, with spectators tracking real-time charts and leaderboard updates.
Organizers said roughly 50 attendees watched as traders were evaluated on strategy and decision-making. The top three performers; Jayson âAmaranthâ Benedicto, CJ âAlamizâ Oliquino, and Raymond âBigbossâ Coronel all received USDC prizes.
Event representatives noted that the competition used a decentralized exchange and simulated accounts, stressing that no real funds or gambling elements were involved. They said the contest was skill-based and compliant with Philippine regulations.
Trading as an Esports
Prior to this event, South Korea hosted Perp-DEX Day 2025 at SJ Kunsthalle in Gangnam during Korea Blockchain Week last September. It introduced an esports-style format for perpetual decentralized exchange (perp-DEX) trading.Â
- The one-day event featured live trading competitions, real-time leaderboards, and audience participation, organized by ReboundX in partnership with UmbrellaX DAO.Â
