Kaia DLT Foundation (Kaia) and Taiwan Mobile have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly accelerate the development of Taiwan’s web3 ecosystem.
Kaia x Taiwan Mobile

According to a media release, the partnership will focus on strengthening the local web3 community, expand infrastructure for decentralized applications (Dapps), and introduce compliant hybrid financial solutions that connect fiat and digital assets.Â
They added that both parties aim to lower barriers to entry for mainstream consumers while fostering regulatory-compliant decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
Under the agreement, Kaia and Taiwan Mobile will collaborate on developing next-generation Dapps such as stablecoin exchanges and yield-generating protocols, while also supporting developers to build innovative projects.Â
“This partnership is about unlocking the full power of Web3 for Taiwan… With Kaia’s blockchain technology and Taiwan Mobile’s extensive market presence, we can lower barriers to entry, expand infrastructure, and bring the exciting use cases of Web3 to millions of users. Together we share the same mission: to significantly reduce barriers while strengthening compliance and user safety. By combining our strengths, we aspire to set a new benchmark for Web3.”

The firm noted that the initiative seeks to combine Taiwan Mobile’s market reach and brand influence with Kaia’s blockchain technology to expand web3 adoption.
Kaia Chairman Dr. Sam Seo added that the collaboration will help promote compliant web3-powered deposit and withdrawal solutions, accelerating the adoption of blockchain services in Taiwan.
“Taiwan is one of the most promising Web3 markets in APAC, and we are delighted to be collaborating with Taiwan Mobile to build a solid web3 infrastructure here.”

The partnership is expected to bring millions of new users into the Web3 ecosystem by integrating Kaia’s DApp portal, already supported by LINE NEXT, with Taiwan Mobile’s extensive consumer base.

The deal comes as Taiwan Mobile increases its investment in digital assets through its subsidiary Fusheng Digital, which launched TWEX, the country’s first institutional centralized exchange, in May 2025.Â
“Leveraging the strengths of Taiwan Mobile and TWEX, we will promote compliant Web3-powered deposit/withdrawal solutions, accelerating the adoption of Kaia assets and blockchain services while ensuring a more reliable yet handy Web3 UX.”
Dr. Sam Seo, Chairman, Kaia Foundation
The media release highlighted that since launch, TWEX has reported strong growth by providing compliant and secure access to crypto services.
Taiwan Mobile, one of Taiwan’s telecommunications providers, serves its customers through its mobile, broadband, and digital services. Leveraging its nationwide network and brand presence, the company has expanded into fintech and blockchain, aiming to integrate telecom expertise with emerging technologies to advance digital connectivity and web3 adoption in Taiwan.
Last August, Kaia partnered with South Korean fintech firm DaWinKS to let tourists convert Kaia’s USDT into cash or prepaid transit cards via Digital ATMs located in major tourist spots like N Seoul Tower and Myeongdong. The machines, which use passport and facial recognition for secure verification, support conversion into 85 fiat currencies and QR-based transactions at real-time rates.Â
In February, Kaia blockchain announced that it started to power LINE NEXT’s rollout of 32 mini-decentralized applications (dApps) and a dApp portal within LINE Messenger, giving users access to games, social apps, NFTs, and rewards through an in-app wallet. The initiative is part of Kaia’s push to drive web3 adoption in Asia following its merger of Klaytn and Finschia.Â
